The Kershaw Centre
Appointed by Cubic Architectural Services for the previous phase of works (Phase 1), George Pearce Construction were given the opportunity to be included on the tender list for Phase 2. The scope of work originally involved creating an undercover canopy so that the disabled child could enjoy the garden all year round regardless of the weather. Works included the creation of an external canopy area with a stone flagged base, associated ground works and roofing.
Whilst on site, costs were negotiated without going back out to tender for the remodelling and creation of a new Sensory Garden which we were also awarded and instructed to proceed. Further works consisted of ground works, Installation of new oak sleepers to form new timber planters, new decking and finally finishing landscaping was undertaken. A wide variety of flowers and shrubs were planted to provide a visual, smell and touch simulation to the clients requirements.
